Experience a Sip N’ Cycle Cruise in Siesta Key

Vacationing in Siesta Key is known for lying on white-sand beaches and taking in the abundant sunshine, but there is a lot more you can do if you want to make the most of your time on the island. You can choose to take boat tours to fish, watch dolphins at play, or enjoy the stunning sunset.

If you’re looking for a unique experience from among the things to do in Siesta Key, you can select a Sip n’ Cruise trip. This cruise is truly unlike other Siesta Key activities! Leave your Siesta Key villa rental and join a pedal party aboard a Sip N’ Cycle Cruise, a fun activity you won’t soon forget.

What is a Sip n’ Cycle Cruise?

A Sip n’ Cycle cruise combines all these activities into one:

  • Exercising
  • Enjoying your favorite drinks
  • Playing music
  • Learning about the area
  • Seeing the spectacular sights

When you take a Sip n’ Cycle cruise, you’ll come aboard and sit around a central bar surrounded by stationary bikes! Neat, right? YOU and your fellow “bikers” power the boat with “pedal power” as you sail around Siesta Key or through Siesta Key Village and the shoreline, sip your beverage and enjoy the company and the wonderful sights. You could get lucky enough to spot some dolphins or see the sunset if you’ve chosen a later boat cruise (hours run from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.).

You can take a Sip n’ Cycle cruise for birthdays, family outings, anniversary parties, engagement parties, bridal party fun, bachelor or bachelorette parties, or corporate functions. It’s a one-of-a-kind way to burn calories, learn local history, and plain have FUN!

What Do I Need to Know?

By now, you’re undoubtedly interested in booking one of these cruises! But you’ll need to know a few things before you go.

To start, Sip n’ Cycle cruises are BYOB: beer or wine. A total of 36 oz. of beer in cans (three 12 oz. beers per guest or a 6-pack to be shared by two guests) or 18 oz. of wine (one bottle per every two guests); you can choose to purchase your drinks at Pop’s Sunset Grill and Bayfront Excursions before setting sail. Cruises are also “bring your own snacks!”

The boat is covered, so cruises are conducted rain or shine. Sip n’ Cycle Cruises can be taken on the water or land; the former makes a bathroom stop since there are no facilities onboard, while the latter takes you to the best shops and restaurants as well as a scenic ride along the coast. There is a six-person minimum, a 15-person maximum for the land Sip n’ Cycle cruise, and a 16-person max for the water cruise.

All guests must be 21 years and older, and every cruise is two hours long. Cruises have two coolers stocked with ice to keep your beverages cold.

A private land Sip n’ Cycle cruise is $375 Monday – Thursday, $420 Friday – Sunday. Public land cruises are $32 per guest Monday – Friday and $35 per guest Friday – Sunday. A private water cruise is $560 or $35 per guest, while a public cruise costs $40 per guest.

Captains and first mates are known for making excursions informative, relaxed, accommodating, and most of all, FUN! They might take music requests, dress up, and join along in dancing or singing.
