History of Vladislav Yeliseyev’s Renaissance School of Art

Vladislav Yeliseyev has been an active painter for decades and opened Vladislav Yeliseyev Architectural Illustration Company in 1992 in New York City. In 2009, the artist and illustrator decided, with his wife Marina and their daughter Polina, to relocate to Sarasota. The family quickly fell in love with the relaxed life of Florida, and Vlad wanted a new place to practice his craft. 

They founded the Yeliseyev Studio in 2009, but the artist still wanted another way to share his passion with the world. Thus, The Renaissance School of Art in Sarasota opened 20 years later in 2012 and has been a mainstay of the Sarasota community ever since.

The studio also offers painting tours if you’re looking for something a bit more exotic. Upcoming tours include trips to Russia, Croatia, Costa Brava, and Prague. You’ll get to spend some quality time with incredible artists while getting unmatched inspiration from these beautiful destinations.

If you want a bigger emphasis on community, consider joining the SRQ Plein Air Painters. The group meets each Wednesday at various locations around the Sarasota area, typically at 9 a.m. You’re welcome to come and paint anything you like, giving you the perfect opportunity to tap into your creative side and get feedback from fellow artists. Since the group meets in a different location every week, you’ll also have a great chance to experience various destinations that make Sarasota unique! Even if you’re only in town for a couple of weeks, you’re more than welcome!
